Hi everyone, we wanted to straighten out some confusion – we are the official Oakland Farmer’s Market run by volunteers and part of the borough of Oakland, we are in NO WAY affiliated with the “farmer’s market” that is going into Copper Tree Mall. It is our understanding that they will not be a true farmer’s market as we are. Our farmers are from NJ and bring their own produce to our market, which was picked that morning or the day before, our other food vendors are artisan crafters that make their delicious, fresh products from beginning to end using local ingredients. We take special care to make sure we have an offering of all local organic and conventional foods and we do everything possible to keep GMO ingredients out of the market. We hope to continue to receive your support and build a stronger sense of community in Oakland.
The next volunteers’ meeting is Monday evening at 7 at Elm Street Grill – we will be in the bar
Everyone who wants to volunteer is welcome – we need volunteers to help run our Chili Cook-off, Green Festival, Farm Lunch and Restaurant Day – hope to see you there!!!
We are still looking for certain food vendors for our 2013 season – please contact us at email@example.com if interested.
We already have baked goods, produce, honey, coffee, infused sea salts, jam, fresh pastas, fresh mozz and infused flavored syrups.
If you are a food vendor selling items other than these please send us an email
We are also still accepting submissions from crafters and local artists.
We are so happy to welcome all of our new volunteers! Our next meeting is going to be on February 25 at 6:30 at the Oakland Library – if you would still like to volunteer we can still use the help so come out to our next meeting or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
We need help with areas such as – special events, our cookbook, media or just helping out a few Saturdays at the market. Please consider volunteering some time to help make Oakland a better place
The Oakland Farmers’ Market is looking for volunteers for the 2013 Season. As well as attending Saturday markets on a rotating schedule, market volunteers will have assignments to head up a specific facet of the market (music, crafters, food vendors, artists, non profit organizations, special events, marketing). If you have what it takes to help the market grow and flourish, please contact email@example.com and we will get back to you.
Please contact us SOON if you are interested – in just a few short weeks we will begin contacting market vendors for the season. Thanks !!
